Meet the candidate
Prosecutor. Public defender. Small business owner. Council member. Dad.
Wes Rogers is a long-time Kansas Citian whose career has included roles as a prosecutor, public defender, small business owner, and public servant, with one guiding instinct: government should make people's lives easier, not harder.
The road here
Prosecuted violent crime in Clay County, where he rose to Chief Deputy.
Began his career in the Missouri State Public Defender's office, standing up for people who could not afford a lawyer.
Served two terms in the Missouri House.
Co-owner and General Counsel of his family's Kansas City business. He knows what it takes to make payroll.
Represents the 2nd District on the City Council, chairing the Small Business Task Force and helping secure $900K for KC's BizCare Office.
Believe in KC.

The Rogers Family
Wes wants Kansas City to be the place his three kids choose to raise their own families, start their own businesses, and build their own memories.
Why I Believe
“My mom raised my brother and I by herself, and I really understand the tough choices families have to make.”
A double dose of grit and optimism. That is what Wes carries from a single-mom household into the work of running a city.
